How to Write Engaging Web Copy That Attracts Clients

Whether your web traffic is landing on your home page or coming in though a blog post or from a link on social media, your web copy will either have them scrolling down the pages on your site or leave right away.

 

If they leave right away, chances are you’ve lost them for good.

 

There are a lot of fabulous people out there with mediocre sites that may look good but aren’t helping to generate new business and clients.

 

Today I’m gonna be sharing a few tips for creating a website that captures leads and turns those leads into paying clients.

 

Hopefully these tips will help you optimize your website to get better results and grow your list.

 

#1 – Have an Opt in Built Into Your Header

 

In last weeks post I mentioned “Building Relationships” being your websites first priority. And great relationships take time to build. So you want to entice people to sign up for a free goodie so that you can continue building your relationship with them.

 

The best way to guarantee this will happen is if you put your opt in box on the top right hand side of every page. Even better get your web dude to install it in the header of your blog. WordPress lets you do this with a cool plug in called “

 

#2 – Have Testimonials on Your Site

 

Think of how you make any buying decision… if you’re like me you do a little research first. The first place I go to on someone’s site is their testimonials page to see if they’re helping other people get the same type of results I am looking for.

 

Sometimes I see these horrendously long and drawn out, run on paragraphs that miss the mark on being effective. So here’s a little recipe for how to ask for GREAT testimonials that will engage your potential clients to pick up the phone and call you.

A testimonial from a satisfied client will help you sell without selling. Don’t be afraid to ask your clients if they would like some help writing up their testimonials. Most of the time they are more than happy to help they just don’t know HOW to do it – so help them get it right.

#3 – Create in Advance Your Sales Funnel and Then Implement it

 

You need to have very clearly in place your FREE offers and your FEE offers. What will you give away for free to educate your potential clients and what offers will you make to them after they have signed up to your list?

 

A good formula to follow is to give 3 pieces of great content for every 1 offer you make.

If you are worried about what to sell and don’t have any of your own information products created or things you sell right away you can always become an affiliate and promote other people’s products for a commission of the sales. This is a great way to start because affiliate programs have sales pages all set up for you.

You should have 12 emails set up to go in your autoresponder that go out to the new people who sign up to your list and get the relationship building started.
