From Failure to Success in Selling

“I no longer worry about being a brilliant conversationalist. I simply try to be a good listener. I notice that people who do that are usually welcome wherever they go.”-Frank Bettger Author of “How I Raised Myself from Failure to Success in Selling”

To really be heard and understood is very very rare and I’ll tell you something, when you can really listen to another person it will change your relationship with them instantly! If you are in sales it can create miracles:)

Let’s face it people love to talk about themselves. Most people are listening only for their chance to interject their chance to speak, their chance in the spotlight and few people really take the time to listen and understand their prospects on a deep level.

If you take the time to listen from a space of deep caring, without trying to sell, without trying to convince, without trying to offer advice but really just focus on absorbing everything they say and really understanding them, that’s where connection begins. That’s where a real relationship I formed.

Remember people like to buy from people they know like and trust and from credible experts who can diagnose their pain point. Carry a big purse, because if you develop the ability to really listen well, you’ll need it to carry all your money:) And if you are a man reading this, you’ll need some extra deep pockets too:)
